Oh the snow....

I knew that Finley loved the snow last year, well Ava did this year.  Her first snow :)

See a pattern here?  Finley makes a nice, warm pillow.
I spent a couple of these snowy days working on projects and the kids spent the time lounging....

Ava came along...

This was the day after we found her in the ditch and washed her up.  Already I knew she was a sweetie, but she did have huge feet.

She was a little thug to Finley and he gave it right back, but in a much gentler way.  He usually lets her have her way in the end.  I think he spoiled her.

... she does not share, so she falls asleep with her toys.  She takes all the toys and piles them up, guards them, growls at Finley if he walks by them, and sleeps with them for fear he may get hers.  Ahhhhh, I love her so much!

My Finleykins

Finley was so tiny when I first got him at 3 months old.  My little baby!

All teeth and pee :)  He chewed through the house; sheets, blankets, pillows, toys, towels....

Instant love with FrankenFinley!  It was not long before he grew out of that little puppy body and became taller and lanky and very clumsy, but still destructive.  He ripped the toilet paper holder out of the wall!
And when he did something wrong, he would give you this serious look...and you couldn't help but forgive him.
That is Finley...my big boy.

Meet the poopies...

Ava and Finley....in the beginningThese are the poopies...when they were first united and Ava was so tiny!

This was about 7 months ago.  We found Ava in a drainage ditch on a very stormy Memorial Day weekend.  Finley had been adopted Memorial Day weekend the previous year.  He was 3 months old.  A border collie and bulldog mix.  A precious boy!

Ava was guesstimated to be 3 months old by the vet and declared a Doberman.  A little thug is what she was and had EVERYONE wrapped around her huge paw by the week's end.

This is their blog....I'm just writing for them :)

Ava is now 9 months old and Finley a year and nine months old.  They have a weird (to me) story, like they were soul mates of the doggie world.  From the day we brought Ava into the house, Finley has loved her.  She has in turned loved him!
And I love them :)
